Why Should I Believe?
Hey everyone and welcome back to Deeper Roots.
Ever since the great commission was given by Jesus Christ in Matthew 28, the primary goal of his followers has been to spread his gospel. We are told to spread these good news but a lot of the time, it comes at such difficulty, with hesitancy and lack of knowledge being the greatest inhibitors to the mission. On top of that, it also comes down to the personal decision making of the person we are talking to. A lot of complicated factors go into the decision whether or not we are going to uphold the mission Jesus Christ set out before us.
One of the greatest tools we can use to help us complete our mission as Christians is probably to put ourselves in the shoes of the people we are talking to, which brings the question of today’s podcast. “Why should I”? Why should I believe in these things that the Christians are telling me about? Why not just trust someone else or any other religion if I am going to believe in a higher power at all? All very valid questions, and while the specifics are hard to go over in the span of a 30 minute episode, we do go over some fundamentals that you don’t want to miss.
Hey, if you like this podcast, and you want to help it grow, the best thing you can do is to 1) submit a question of your own. You can go to www.ibbvn.org/deeperroots to submit a question using the form within the page. We really want to hear your questions, so please keep them coming! The second thing you can do is share the podcast to anyone you think may be interested in the topics we talk about. Whether it is your youth group, young adult group, your pastor, your friends, or anyone! We would love it if you shared the podcast to someone, so they could also have the opportunity to ask questions of their own.
